Steelers guard Alan Faneca is too professional to speak out about wanting to be traded, but it's pretty clear he's angling to get the team to move him during the draft and he's doing it behind the scenes.

Faneca is in the final year of his contract. He's one of the best guards in football, which should put in position to make $7 million a year next season. The Steelers won't pay that. Faneca made it clear to the Steelers he doesn't want to be in Pittsburgh. He showed up for last Thursday night's meeting at the team's mini-camp and then left the next day. His lame-duck situation and disappointment about not having Russ Grimm as his head coach have made him want out of Pittsburgh.
