The Kansas City Chiefs signed former Los Angeles Rams guard Tremayne Anchrum on Friday, May 16.

Anchrum was a seventh-round pick of the Rams in the 2020 NFL draft and played in Los Angeles for four seasons. He earned a ring as part of the Rams' Super Bowl LIV roster, and also won two College Football Playoff National Championships with the Clemson Tigers in 2016 and 2018.

Last year, Anchrum signed contracts with the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints before eventually finding a home on the Houston Texans' practice squad.

News of Anchrum's signing with the Chiefs was first reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston, Texas:

While Anchrum is unlikely to compete for a starting role on Kansas City's offensive line in 2025, his championship experience could be a valuable asset for the Chiefs if injuries affect the depth on their front-five next season.

Kansas City's decision to sign Anchrum came just a day after the Chiefs waived veteran running back Keaontay Ingram.
