The 2025 Cheveron Championship features a $7.9 million purse and a first-place prize of $1.2 million. Prior to Chevron taking over as title sponsor in 2023, the prize fund lagged behind significantly at $3,100,000.
Those who missed the cut this week were paid $10,000 and everyone in the field drove a courtesy Cadillac. Past champions drove a courtesy Bentley.
Saigo made birdie on the first playoff hole to outlast the largest playoff in LPGA major history. The four players who finished runner-up – Ariya Jutanugran, Hyo Joo Kim, Ruoning Yin and Lindy Duncan – each earned $500,759 for a share of second.
"I still have four more majors to go, and I want to shoot for No. 1 in the world," said Saigo of what comes next. "I will do my best in the remaining four majors."
