It’s true more of those don’t bounce into the end zone than do. Of course some bounce back towards the punter. A few even go sideways. Not many are downed at the one unless the punt is very high and the coverage exceptional. So the real question is how much worse off is the offense starting from the 3 than the 6. Especially with the Cards strength at running so far. My money is on let it bounce.Just curious, Harry, what other options did Cooper have with that punt other than the fair catch? We saw Dortch let the punts go in the previous games and they were stopped on 1~2 yard line by the gunners. The trajectory of the punt seemed exactly the same.
