The Chargers made a handful of free-agent acquisitions this offseason, including the signings of cornerbacks Donte Jackson and Benjamin St-Juste.
Looking to carve out roles, Jackson and St-Juste flashed at organized team activities (OTAs) on Tuesday.
According to team reporter Eric Smith, Jackson picked off Taylor Heinicke in a team drill. Heinicke's pass was deflected by safety Tony Jefferson before Jackson came down with the football. He also later had a pass breakup.
Smith highlighted St-Juste's coverage skills standing out.
Jackson, the former Steeler, was signed to a two-year deal. He had eight passes defended and five interceptions last season. His skillset is perfect in Jesse Minter's zone-heavy system.
St-Juste is a big and long corner at 6-foot-3. He has plenty of live-game experience, as he started 45 of 54 games in four seasons with the Commanders.
Cornerback will be one of the bigger position battles during the summer. Jackson and St-Juste will also be competing with second-year players Cam Hart and Tarheeb Still, as well as Ja'Sir Taylor, Deane Leonard and rookie Trikweze Bridges.
