Rattling around somewhere in my memory bank is a report from a few years back suggesting we had an interest in Groves back then.

Anyone remember this?
HAD INTEREST IN TRADING FOR KAMERYON WIMBLEY AND D'QWELL JACKSON

He may not have done much, if anything, before today... but then again Horton's never gotten a hold of his ass before.

Put a player on a different team with a different scheme, different guys playing beside him, etc and you do not know exactly what he will develop into. Maybe a great signing and maybe not?

It isn't like the Cards cut Fitzgerald to sign him. If he sucks they cut him before the start of the regular season. This is the definition of a low risk high reward situation.

Third times a charm? ;)

I've never seen him play so I don't know much about him. Don't the Jags and Raiders run a 4-3? Maybe the 3-4 is the change he needs?

:koolaid:

Who was that fellow that played for us a couple of years ago that the Rams had picked up on his third chance? Burt Warbler or something like that. There was another third chance guy, Barry Burtron??? I forget. That we got in 2004.
