Great if you're retired or something. For those of us that work it is not feasible to drive across town on a Thursday afternoon during rush hour to go to a draft party on the lawn.

Dude, you need to get out more. Maybe 40 years ago. The valley is about 15,000 square miles now. It was a lot less when I arrived in 1951. I bought a house in west Phoenix in 1975, and it was a 35-minute drive downtown then, on a good day.
