Caitlin Clark Turns Heads With Major Injury Announcement Before Chicago Sky Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has been out for the last three games, dealing with a quad strain she suffered in late May against the New York Liberty.

The Fever have gone 1-2 so far without their All-WNBA guard and will be without her again in their next game, facing Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday.

Clark was initially given a return timeline of at least two weeks, putting the possible return date at June 10, when Indiana faces the Atlanta Dream for the third time of the 2025 WNBA season.

Following Thursday's practice session, Clark spoke to the media for the first time since her injury, admitting she won't rush her way back onto the court.

“I’ve made a lot of progress and I feel good, but I’m not going to rush my way back if it’s not worth it," Clark said.

According to ESPN's Alexa Philippou, Clark also mentioned that she will be reevaluated over the week, and playing against Atlanta has become a real possibility.

WNBA fans took notice of Clark's latest injury update, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.

"Possible CC return Tuesday vs. Dream," one fan said.

"We love to hear it but don’t rush back! lol," added another.

"Of course she would try come back against us lol," wrote a third.

"We desperately need her back!" added a fourth.

"Don't rush back CC fully recover first," posted a fifth.

"Oop so I’m definitely getting the Liberty game tickets," claimed a sixth.

Clark also added that she couldn't pinpoint when exactly the injury happened against the Liberty.

“Adrenaline covers up a lot of stuff when you're in the heat of battle, and after the game, I had some pain, then we got an MRI, and it gave me the result I didn’t want to see," Clark commented.

The Fever will take on the Sky on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
