Vanderbilt football has landed a commitment from Caden Harris, a 4-star cornerback and the No. 3 player in Tennessee in the class of 2026, he announced April 29.

Harris chose the Commodores over Missouri, Auburn, Georgia and Notre Dame.

The No. 82 player nationally, if Harris maintains his current ranking and signs with Vanderbilt, he will be the second highest-rated signee in program history by the 247Sports Composite, only behind wide receiver Chris Young in 2000.

He continues Clark Lea's trend of earning the commitment of highly regarded defensive players with Martel Hight, Dontae Carter and Carson Lawrence being others that Lea has landed out of high school.

Harris becomes the sixth player committed to Vanderbilt in the 2026 class. The other five commits are all 3-star prospects: quarterback Michael Mitchell, safety Karaijus Hayes, offensive lineman George Haseotes, linebacker Daniel Vollmer and edge Joey Quinn.
