The Buffalo Bills added nine players to their franchise in the 2025 NFL draft this past weekend.
Although they leaned heavily into addressing the defensive side of the ball, including their first five picks being defenders, the team filled plenty of needs and added tons of depth in areas that were of concern last year.
They added three cornerbacks and three defensive linemen. It appears general manager Brandon Beane is all in on giving head coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Bobby Babich all the tools they need to do what they envision on that side of the ball.
Defense was lacking at times through last year, especially on third down, and they came up short in the postseason once again. The Bills don't want to waste MVP quarterback Josh Allen's time in Buffalo, and so they are building a crop of talent on the defensive side of the ball to support what was a dominant offense in 2024.
National media has taken notice of what the Bills accomplished in the 2025 NFL draft. The team not only added quality talent and potential across the board, but they added positions of need that will contribute sooner rather than later. Because of this, the team received mostly high grades for their draft class.
