Last week I was critical. During the week I got one of those "articles" on my phone and clicked on it thinking it was a national article and then realized it was Walter Mitchell and he was apparently talking about a trade "rumor" which turned out to be another Walter Mitchell type guy somewhere saynig we should trade Budda for Reddick to solve our edge problem because we have to get Dadrion Taylor Demerson on the field somehow.

I was thinking about that "article" the whole game as Budda was balling.

Not saying he'll do that all year and I do like DTD but yeah not trading Budda for a guy who wants a huge contract and is sitting out

He was up and about today

Seems a real barometer for our D. When he's flat, so are we. When he's dialled in, so are we.

We're only guessing from the outside of course but some players are cultural architects within an organisation and set the tone. Their influence is wider than their own individual output. Budda strikes me as that type. Which can be a double-edged sword mind you, because they become your ceiling in a way.

Whether he produces high level output often enough vs cost I'll leave to others. I think yes but I'm still learning all the rules haha
