The Milwaukee Bucks have been dealt brutal news on Damian Lillard during Game 4 of the team's NBA playoff series against the Indiana Pacers. After leaving early in the first quarter with a non-contact injury, Lillard was quickly ruled out for Game 4.
It appears the Bucks will be without Lillard for the foreseeable future, calling into question the star's availability for the 2025-26 NBA season. NBA insider Chris Haynes reported that Lillard is believed to have sustained a left Achilles tear.
"Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard will not return tonight against the Indiana Pacers, league sources tell me. Injury potentially severe," Haynes said on Sunday in a series of X messages.

"Brutal circumstance after working himself back from a blood clot diagnosis that kept him out over a month."
The Bucks social media account on X quickly reacted to the news, wishing Lillard the best.
"Damian Lillard," the Bucks posted on Sunday along with a prayer hands emoji.
Lillard had been medically cleared by the Bucks staff to both play and travel after dealing with a blood clot in his right calf. It is unfortunate news for Lillard who worked hard to move past a previously scary medical diagnosis in order to suit up in the NBA playoffs.
The star previously signed a two-year, $112 million contract extension with the Bucks. Lillard's deal is slated to go through the 2026-27 season. The veteran has a player option for the final year that would allow him to become a free agent during the 2026 offseason.
