BEREA — The Browns got one player back from a preseason-long injury-related absence. Another remains out, although there's still a possibility he could come back at some point in the season.

Defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. passed his physical and was placed on the initial 53-man active roster when the Browns released it ahead of the 4 p.m. Aug. 26 deadline. However, quarterback Deshaun Watson remains on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, which doesn't necessarily end his season.

Hall suffered a knee injury in the Browns' 2024 season finale against the Baltimore Ravens. He spent all of training camp on the active/PUP list as he continued to rehab from the injury.

Watson is still coming back from the two Achilles surgeries he had between October, 2024, and January of this year. However, there remains a pathway that he could find his way back on the field at some point during the season.

This is a developing story. Check back here for updates.
