Browns’ Myles Garrett Sends Chilling Warning to Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Now that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is officially a member of the AFC North, he will face a much more fierce level of pass-rushing from his division rivals than he did last year with the New York Jets.

While Buffalo’s Greg Rousseau and Miami’s Zach Sieler and Chop Robinson are all fine players, they aren’t on the same level as some of the top pass-rushers in the AFC North like Cleveland’s Myles Garrett, Cincinnati’s Trey Hendrickson, or Baltimore’s Kyle Van Noy.

Rodgers was sacked 40 times last season playing behind a revamped offensive line in New York. The Steelers have much more questionable protection in front of Rodgers than the Jets did in 2024, and some of the top defensive ends are likely champing at the bit to get a chance to sack the four-time MVP.

Because Rodgers isn’t as mobile as either of the Steelers QBs last season—Justin Fields and Russell Wilson—he’ll have to get a little creative in avoiding the rush.

Garrett is one of the players Rodgers will have to worry about most, especially after what the $160 million edge-rusher said about Rodgers joining the division on Tuesday.

“Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett on Aaron Rodgers joining the AFC North: ‘Good opportunity to put him in the graveyard.’’ Yahoo Sports' Jori Epstein wrote.

Garrett is one of, if not the top pass-rusher in the NFL.

He ranked second in the league only to Hendrickson (17.5) in sacks last season (14), and he feasted on the Steelers’ offensive line in their two meetings, racking up our sacks, eight tackles, 1.5 stuffs, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.

Though Rodgers was one of the least-sacked QBs in five of his last six years with the Green Bay Packers, he’s taken quite a beating the last two years.

He missed the entire 2023 season after suffering an Achilles injury on his first drive of Week 1 with the Jets, and the 40 sacks he took last year was the most he’d been sacked since 2018, and the fifth-most of the 16 years he’s been a starter.
