they had a high salary cap player in ty law. besides brady has done everything to deserve his contract. you have mcnabb, vick, and manning who havn't won anything. they are getting paid high dollars. the patriots has something that is proven and obviously it works.

Ty Law didn't have a 6 yr 60 million dollar contract, no matter how its broken down thats a big cap hit. The Colts are going to have to get rid of James soon because of Manning's contract, and with Manning, James, and Harrison's fairly large deal over the past 5 yrs, they have been killed on the defensive side of the ball. I'm not saying Brady isn't as deserving as anyone to get this big of a contract, just surprised by it a little and think it will be tougher for the Patsies to keep there core group together.

But he did have a $11M or $13M cap number for this season.

Brady or Law??
Law. That's the reason he was cut. When his got his deal the Patriot gave him a extremely backloaded one because Law was getting up there in age.

91st & glendale. 2006!
For once, an NFL player that actually deserves a fat contract with a 10 million dollar signing bonus. The dude earned every penny!

Wouldn't it be nice if all players were paid based on results instead of potential??

He got a new deal after the first ring, so this is his 2nd deal.
