So. Can Beal be traded? It is a huge contract, but it is only two years, now. Next year it will be a huge expiring. He would not be a bad risk for a team that sees itself with a short remaining window.

There are not many teams capable of absorbing that contract without sending out something fall more valuable.

Bradley Beal is essentially retired from basketball. He no longer cares about winning, legacy, or even playing time. Its all about how much more cash he can get out of this contract and how happy his wife and kids are.

Any negotiation has to start with that premise.

I also don't want him around this team.

I believe the league knows this too and makes him even more untradeable.

Did anyone post the article that came out today where one of Beal's friends says Beal intends to stay in PHX and work on reviving his image? Beal figures with KD gone he can get more minutes and more points.

As some speculation had Beal gone from the Suns, the latest reporting from Jake Fischer poured water over that notion, saying that the expectation is that he will be on the team. Not only is he healthy, but Beal is ready to have a bounce-back season and be a featured player alongside a new look backcourt of Devin Booker and newcomer Jalen Green.
“I think there's really nothing to expect on the Bradley Beal front outside of Bradley Beal being a member of the Phoenix Suns and trying to have a bounce-back season,” Fischer said, via Bleacher Report.

“If he does that, and by bounce-back season, I want to say Bradley Beal also, because of just how poor overall Phoenix’s season went, I think his success and his efficiency as a shooter honestly got a bit overshadowed, clouded. The guy averaged 17 points a game last year, shooting 38% from three in 32 minutes per game.”

“The word out of Beal land is that Bradley Beal is healthy,” Fischer said. “He’s going to come back at 32 years old with two years left on his deal and be a real factor in Phoenix's backcourt alongside Devin Booker and newly added Jalen Green.”

It's unfortunate that some reporters lead us to believe Bradley Beal wouldn't be back, if in fact there was no plan to move him by either a trade or a buyout and stretch provision.

Brian Gregory did say something to the effect he wouldn't do anything long term to hurt the Suns.

This may be what he was talking about. If so, I appreciate his honesty.

I am maybe looking at it more skeptically. Maybe the team is looking to move him like Gambo says. Also, Gambo has said they don't want him in the locker room. Then you hear Beal thinks it's all rainbows and unicorns and he's working on playing better for his next contract. There's a disconnect there.

Maybe the Suns tell him to stay home. Maybe Beal not playing, motivates Beal to want to play elsewhere?

I agree with a lot of this in that the org doesn't want Beal back in any capacity, and they've told him he is not part of our future in any capacity. First why would we re-commit to him now that KD is gone and we acquired Green? Does he really think we are going to move Green instead of him? Second, despite everything Beal isn't actually that old and everything he does going forward only hurts his value as he looks for maybe his final contract.

The smiling and laughing while in street clothes is over Beal, take what you can now as the league can ostracize you if you continue to beat the same drum.

Dame being bought out may have influenced Ishbia. I'm fine with it if he isn't stretched. Eat the money and get it over with.

I didn't think Beal was willing to do a buyout. We would have to waive him or play him. We get a little break if he signs somewhere else.

Getting under the apron would likely save more than what Beal is owed (if he takes a buyout). We’re in the repeaters category.

He can take a big buyout and then retire. Then we can hire him as a team consultant for $15 mil a year.

Just don't write it on a napkin.

I’ve also got a no post clause on other forums, so you’re all are stuck with me unless I say so!

Sure, I’ll take a lot of days off but I’ll make sure to do my best 30% of the year and coast for the rest.

This could be speculation.
