Including Claxton would likely cost another first and then some. I'd be happy just to get under the apron so we could actually have flexibility to make trades. The same here. I've seen versions where Claxton was included.

Now that we have a roster going, I'm in the minority but I like the new roster, it aligns with modern nba basketball.

What would you like to see in return for Beal?
If we have to keep Beal, now we have some pieces that can play either the starting team or the back ups, and not suffer as much as we did last season when the second unit came in.
First unit, I am guessing because we need to showcase guys, and because of defense, to start the season I could see:
Booker
Green
Brooks
Dunn
Williams
Second Unit:
Beal
Brea
Maluach
Fleming
Gillespie?
I am assuming Allen and O'Neal are gone. With Brooks, O'Neal is the same player, and Brooks is better. O'Neal is cheaper, which means we would could move Brooks. Either way, you are only talking 1-2 spots. Just keep in mind, all these guys we drafted have to get playing time to develop. Second unit is a great way to do just that.I would put that much stock in Brea and Flem just yet. There are still some vets who can fill in and play D and shoot 3's, Martin and O'neal. Brea would have to overtake Allen.

Just heard Gambo say the Suns expect Brea to get minutes this season. The G-League being in Phoenix is huge. They can practice with the Suns and see floor time there half the year. Got to give Sarver a little credit for the training facility but considering Ishbia has built one for the Mercury, it was a matter of time that one would be available. Ishbia getting us a G-League squad again is the main thing that allows everything to sort of intertwine.

I was listening to ESPN today and they mentioned LeBron opted into the last year of his deal at $52.6 million. I was like, WHAT??? So I had to look it up, Bradley Beal will make $53.6 million this season! In what universe does Bradley Beal make MORE than LeBron James. IDK if James is older, or whatever. This should not be happening!
I get that, but STILL. WHO pays Bradley Beal MORE than LeBron James? We do! UGH....Lebron switching teams regularly hurts his overall earnings.
The trouble with trading Beal is that his value is so tarnished that you need to attach significant assets to convince another team to touch that contract this year. Maybe next year it's not as bad as it's only one year to eat, but at that point it's probably better for Phoenix to stretch and waive the 57m over 3 years than to give up any other value to offload him.So. Can Beal be traded? It is a huge contract, but it is only two years, now. Next year it will be a huge expiring. He would not be a bad risk for a team that sees itself with a short remaining window.
I think it's small chance. However, there's rumors at least three teams are supposedly interested. We don't have that much draft capitol to get rid of him with.So. Can Beal be traded? I would not give up any assets to offload him. We can just let him sit and develop our young core. If he wants to negotiate a trade or buyout, that is up to him.The trouble with trading Beal is that his value is so tarnished that you need to attach significant assets to convince another team to touch that contract this year. I don't want to give up anything to trade him either. If he helps our young guys and comes off the bench, fine. If he doesn't want that role or is a distraction, then stay home and get paid.I would not give up any assets to offload him. We can just let him sit and develop our young core.
