Bournemouth vs Fulham – Match Preview and Team News

High-flying Bournemouth will look to continue their best-ever start to a Premier League season on Friday night when they host a struggling Fulham side.

Andoni Iraola’s Cherries are in the top six and have a formidable home record. Fulham, in contrast, are looking to bounce back after their two-match winning run was ended by a 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa last weekend.

Bournemouth vs Fulham – Match Preview and Team News

  • Date: Friday, 3 October 2025
  • Kick-off: 8:00 pm BST
  • Venue: Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth
  • Last Meeting: Bournemouth 1-0 Fulham, 14 April 2025, Premier League

Team News

Bournemouth

Andoni Iraola is without right-back Adam Smith and striker Enes Ünal for this fixture. In their absence, Alex Jimenez will continue in defence, and Evanilson will lead the line. The in-form Antoine Semenyo, who has scored eight league goals since April, will be the main attacking threat from the wing.

Fulham

Marco Silva’s biggest concern is the fitness of striker Raúl Jiménez, who is a major doubt with a knee injury. With Rodrigo Muniz also sidelined, Adama Traoré is on standby to start up front. The rest of the squad is relatively fit for the trip to the south coast.

Form

Bournemouth

The Cherries are enjoying their best-ever start to a top-flight season, with 11 points from six games. Their form at the Vitality Stadium has been particularly strong, with four wins from their last seven home league games. Furthermore, they are unbeaten in seven of their last eight league meetings with Fulham.

Fulham

The Cottagers have been inconsistent. They followed up impressive back-to-back wins over Leeds and Brentford with a disappointing 3-1 loss to a previously winless Aston Villa side last weekend. Their away form remains a concern, and manager Marco Silva has lost his last four visits to Bournemouth.

Predicted Lineups

Bournemouth predicted XI: Petrovic; Jimenez, Diakite, Senesi, Truffert; Adams, Scott; Semenyo, Tavernier, Brooks; Evanilson

Fulham predicted XI: Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Sessegnon; Lukic, Berge; Wilson, King, Iwobi; Traore
