Glenavon stunned high-flying Glentoran as David McDaid's first-half double helped the Irish Premiership's bottom side defeat Declan Devine's team 3-1 at Mourneview Park on Saturday.
Paul McGovern was also on target, with Ryan Cooney grabbing a consolation, as the Lurgan Blues secured only their second win from 15 league outings this season.
For the east Belfast side, it was just a second loss in the top flight this term.
Elsewhere Ballymena United grabbed a last-gasp 3-2 win over Bangor at Clandeboye Park, Crusaders claimed a 2-1 victory on the road at Carrick Rangers and Cliftonville saw off Dungannon Swifts 2-0 at Solitude.
Larne beat Portadown 3-0 on Friday night while Linfield host leaders Coleraine in Saturday's late kick-off at 17:30 GMT.
