If the Boston Celtics are looking for a steal in the 2025 NBA Draft, Liam McNeeley could fit the bill. He is expected to be on the board when Brad Stevens is selecting with the 28th draft pick, and would immediately add some depth and long-term upside to the franchise's forward rotation.

Stevens has regularly preferred longer-tenured collegiate talent; however, he could make an exception if McNeeley is still available once Boston is on the clock. The Texas native is entering the NBA after one season with UCLA, where he averaged 14.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists on 38.1% shooting from the field and 31.7% from 3-point range.

McNeeley isn't as polished as some of the other prospects being linked with the Celtics. However, he has arguably the highest floor out of anyone projected to be available in the latter stages of the first round. With Jayson Tatum set to miss next season due to injury, McNeeley could provide some much-needed depth and competition.

If you want to do a deeper dive into McNeeley and what he could bring to the Celtics, NBC Sports Boston recently posted some highlights to their YouTube channel. You can watch by clicking on the embedded link above.
