Josh Allen has been the Buffalo Bills offense. That isn't really hyperbole. He has literally been the key to Buffalo's offense being one of the elite groups in the game.

None of this is really surprising. Allen has won a league MVP award, and has some incredible playoff numbers.

But despite that success, there is still some major issues that the Bills and their star quarterback are trying to figure out.

Winning the "big game" of the playoffs. With all their success, Allen and the Bills have not beaten Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs once in the playoffs at this moment. Last year, the team lost 32-29 in the AFC Title game to those Chiefs.

And Fox Sports NFL reporter Henry McKenna believes that loss is still haunting Buffalo's star.

"How badly is that play seared in Allen’s mind? How much will it motivate him?" McKenna continued, "My sense is that it’s a reminder of how perfect he’ll have to be to make it not just to a Super Bowl but through one — and with a win.

"Yes, I know Allen just won MVP, But I’m not sure everyone has wrapped their heads around just how much he’s done to carry the Bills out of irrelevance and into six consecutive divisional titles."

Allen is primed for another special season. He's the reigning league MVP and has seen the offense be bolstered throughout free agency. The better he is, the more likely it will be that Buffalo can finally get over the hump in the conference.

It's a big "if" though at this point.
