Big Ten football 2025 power rankings after spring practice

We are still winding down from the spring season coming to a close in the college football world. While the offseason and recruiting runs are well underway, there are still things to take away from what we saw over the past couple of months across the nation.

While we've examined record predictions,top-25 rankings, and where teams might land in the College Football Playoff in 2025, we plan to explore the Big Ten Conference today and see if we can construct some post-spring power rankings to hold onto going into the offseason.

Based on the roster transformations for each team this year, things will look quite a bit different than they did last season in the Big Ten. While the Ohio State Buckeyes will enter the 2025 season as reigning champions, teams like the Penn State Nittany Lions and Oregon Ducks will work hard to return to the mountaintop once again after meeting in the Big Ten Championship. The Ducks ultimately walked away as conference champions in their first year as league members.

What does the rest of the Big Ten look like going into a new season? At this early point in the offseason, it's impossible to predict perfectly as the transfer portal continues to churn and rosters are set. However, we know enough to understand who will be good and who could enter another year of rebuilding or mediocre play.
