The first player availability reports from the Big 12 conference have been released for the 2025 season.
This is the first time the Big 12 has decided to release daily injury reports, starting three days before a game and a final one 90 minutes before kickoff.
There will be status updates for players: available, probable, questionable, doubtful, or out.
Last season, Arizona State was relatively healthy after being plagued by injuries in the first year of Kenny Dillingham’s tenure. Yes, running back Cam Skattebo and quarterback Sam Leavitt both had to miss a game, and the team ended the season without wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, but the Sun Devils were mostly intact.
Now, the team is starting to catch the injury bug.
Dillingham, ahead of the report, announced at practice on Sept. 17 that senior safety Xavion Alford would be out a “few weeks” and the team would also be missing junior wide receiver Jalen Moss with an illness. Moss was already dealing with an eye injury, but had been expected to return for the upcoming road trip.
“This year, we’re a little dinged up, you can feel it in practice,” Dillingham said. “It’s not for a lack of want to, it’s just a lack of their bodies not feeling good. We gotta have guys step up, go play our best game.”
