The 2025 NFL draft is just days away, and all 32 NFL teams, including the Chicago Bears, are finalizing their draft plans before things kick off in Green Bay.
Last year's class had a handful of great receivers who were deserving of high-end selections, including Marvin Harrison Jr, Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze, who were all impactful in their rookie seasons.
In 2025, there isn’t a class led by stars like that. There are some outstanding wide receivers but nothing like the sure shots from last year's group. Teams will have a bit more developing to do if they decide to select any of these players.
With that in mind, we're taking a look at the best wide receivers and when they should be available between Days 1, 2 and 3.
Is Travis Hunter going to be a full-time receiver in the NFL? He split his duties at wideout with his duties as a cornerback when he attended Colorado. Whichever team drafts him will have to answer that question. Along with him, Tetairoa McMillan and Matthew Golden are all but guaranteed first rounders.
You will notice that there is a ton of high-end talent here, but there is some more development needed. If these players find themselves in good situations once they are in the NFL, they will be able to properly develop their skills. With there not being that much of a gap between the day two guys and the first round picks, outside of maybe Hunter, it might be wise to take a chance on one of these guys instead.
Day three produces productive wide receivers every year. It isn't always going to be a star player when you reach this stage of the draft. Getting good depth pieces would be a big win for any team selecting at this point. Getting one of these guys to come in for a chance at the WR3 or WR4 spot could help turn them into something more. You just never know.
