The 2025 NFL draft is just days away, and it sounds like we can expect a pretty crazy ride when things kick off Thursday night in Green Bay.
Both Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles and assistant GM Ian Cunningham said they expect this draft could get "wild" starting Thursday. That could include top prospects falling and an influx of trades, where the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants are reportedly open to trading out of No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
But, rest assured, the Bears are prepared for everything.
"I feel really confident with where we are at," Poles told reporters Tuesday. "I feel like this one is going to be wild. We are prepared for all of the scenarios that pop up."
The Bears will have plenty of options sitting at 10th overall, including potentially trading back if one of their blue-chip players isn't on the board. Poles expects a lot more movement in this year's draft than in the past, which might make it harder to trade back.
"Potentially. Potentially," Poles said. "There are a lot of phone calls going on right now. So it's hard to tell. Today. But I think as we get closer, it will start to show itself."
Buckle up, Bears fans. It's going to be a wild ride.
