DAMN! My scene was left on the cutting room floor.

Still I enjoyed the movie a lot more than I expected. It was a fun ride that kept every one entertained.

it was Armaggedon-esque in it's stupidity. this is the type of flick that gives the term "popcorn movie" a bad name.

Some Spoilers Contained

Wasn't a bad movie but not great by any means. Acting was horrible but that was to be expected. Even Liam Neeson looked bored not to mention that he was little used in the film. The plot is so overused that when the aliens started coming, I told my wife that this was nothing more than Independence Day. Also, one plot device I thought was very stupidly done. The lead(Gambit from Wolverine) was nothing more than a slacker until he does something stupid and his brother(Alexander Skarsgard) has enough and makes him join the Navy. Well, the movie can't take place more than a year or 2 from the bar scene and not only is the lead a knucklehead, but he's a senior officer on a destroyer. Um, I find it hard to believe that an ENLISTEE can go from boot camp to a Lt. Commander is 2 years especially given his personality. Anyhoo, it was something to do going to see this. I don't regret it.

That is two movies that the lead actor, Taylor Kitsch has had back to back big budget movies open as bad as that and John Carter.

I love these types of movies..... And found it to be extremely enjoyable. Even when the story crumbled into a pile of steaming horsecrap..... I still walked away feeling like I got my monies worth.

But my oh my...... When the story changed..... I put my head in my hands and laughed my ass off. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when the writers decided that the movie would take the turn it did. Honestly...... It was historically nutty. Transformers nutty.

Great action flick.

I just want to know why that one alien let the Tom Green-look-alike-NASA guy just walk away with the transmitter he so desperately needed.

Oh and don't blame me if the movie sucks! :D

I blame you.

:D

Cool stuff.

Make sure you wear your Cardinals Jersey on the red carpet.

Saw an ad for the video game of this movie.

So a movie based on a board game's video game........ both of which really have nothing to do with the board game. Oh, and why wouldn't someone just play the board game itself.

Maybe alien nerds have a soft spot for human nerds?

Anyways it was a spectrum analyzer not a transmitter. Get with the program.

I take no responsibilty since my scene never made the movie. :D

Actually they did manage to incorporate the board game into the movie with the whole Tsunami Warning Buoy thing. Cheesy as that was.

I dont think that they attacked anyone who wasn't armed. And if you were armed.... You had to have a hostile posture of some kind.

OR..... If that person/thing wasn't part of their mission...... they left them alone. Like the baseball kid.

To me..... I had forgotten about that. The "I'm gonna need to borrow your boat" moment left me stupefied on so many levels.

which was the dumbest reason for them not to just obliterate everyone immediately.

But it was said that the grad students were killed. Judging by the one that helped the doctor, crapping his pants would have been the only thing close to a threat.

I liked this movie. Had low expectations. Thought it could have been WAY worse. People need to lighten up.

That acting was better than most tv shows these days. I think I enjoyed this more than Transformers.

Rewatched with Ms Jones. She loved it. And I grew a little fonder of it.
