The Sting only drew about 6000 per game (I think that's a generous figure, too) and the game never really caught on here except for those who went regularly. It could have, but there is too much going on in here for anyone to learn or care about a sport that didn't have much footing here.
The local media did a terrible job covering them, I guess there were no negative stories to plaster all over the place, just two championship games in four years. That's boring!
I wonder if the 2005 Western Conference Champions banner will stay up in Jobing.com Arena, or did they have to sell that off to help pay the debts?
