Alexandria Senior High and Pineville tied for the District 2-5A softball title enabling those two schools to dominate the league’s 2025 All-District team.
ASH shortstop Mary Claire Brinkman and Pineville pitcher Addalyn Burch were named the league’s most valuable players. Burch was 21-5 with a 2.459 ERA and 148 strikeouts while hitting .392 with 33 RBIs. Brinkman hit .469 with a .614 on-base average while clubbing three home runs and scoring 21 runs. Her fielding percentage was .898 and she turned a trio of double plays.
ASH coach Taylor Belgard led her team to a 25-9 overall mark and 8-2 district record. Pineville’s Frye was 29-5 with an 8-2 league mark. Both teams were upset at home in the LHSAA Select Division I quarterfinals.
