Arkansas transfer Boogie Fland has committed to Florida basketball, according to a report by ESPN's Shams Charania.

Fland, a 6-foot-2-inch guard out of the Bronx, New York, is on an official visit with the Gators after recently withdrawing from the 2025 NBA draft and entering the transfer portal.

Fland sat out over two months due to a thumb injury after getting injured during a game against Florida on Jan. 11. He was cleared to return to the NCAA Tournament but the injury was a shot to his draft stock.

During his freshman year with the Razorbacks last season under head coach John Calipari, Fland averaged 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 21 games.

Fland was named SEC Freshman of the Week on Dec. 16 as he led his team in both scoring and assists in wins against Michigan and UCA.

In high school, Fland was ranked the No. 1 point guard in the state of New York by multiple outlets. In 2024, he was a McDonald's All-American and voted Mr. New York Basketball by BCANY (Basketball Coaches Association of New York).

It is evident that Florida basketball head coach Todd Golden and his staff have been working relentlessly to reshape their backcourt. Departures from Walter Clayton Jr., Will Richard and Alijah Martin have left a hole that needs to be filled.

The Gators have been able to reel in the guards this offseason, snagging Princeton transfer guard Xaivian Lee and Ohio transfer AJ Brown. But adding a player like Fland is the icing on the cake.
