Becky Burke’s first schedule as the head coach of Arizona women’s basketball is complete. The Big 12 released the 2025-26 women’s basketball conference schedule on Monday morning, approximately six weeks after the Wildcats released their nonconference schedule.

The 18-game schedule features one game against 12 of the 16 teams in the Big 12. The other six games are home-and-away series against the remaining three league opponents. This year, Arizona will play home-and-away against the other three Four Corners schools that accompanied it from the Pac-12 last year.

Most of the season is set up to play a game on Tuesday or Wednesday followed by a game on Saturday. All but three weeks feature one road game and one home game. Things wrap up Mar. 6-11 at the 2026 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship in Kansas City, MO.

The Wildcats play their entire nonconference schedule at home, ending up with a game against Bellarmine on Thursday, Dec. 18. They will stay put for their first conference game when they host Utah on Monday, Dec. 22. It’s the first of two games against the Utes that bookend Arizona’s Big 12 slate.

Burke’s squad full of new faces will get its first look at what road play is like when they travel to Colorado and Texas Tech on New Year’s Eve and Jan. 3, 2026, respectively.

The following week has Arizona returning to McKale to host BYU on Tuesday, Jan. 6. That is followed by a second home game on Saturday, Jan. 10 when UCF comes to McKale Center.

The Wildcats get a bit of a break in the fourth week of the season. They play just one game. The catch is that it’s against the team that’s likely to win the Big 12 for the second straight year.

Arizona gets a week of preparation ahead of its game against TCU. The ‘Cats travel to Ft. .Worth to take on the Horned Frogs on Saturday, Jan. 17.

The Wildcats settle into a weekly schedule of one home and one away game the fifth week of the season. They welcome Kansas to Tucson on Tuesday, Jan. 20. A trip to Iowa State to face former Wildcat Jada Williams and her new team follows on Saturday, Jan. 24.

The first half of the Duel in the Desert marks the end of the first half of the conference season. The game between Arizona State and Arizona takes place in Tempe on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Both teams feature new coaches and new rosters this season.

The week winds up with Oklahoma State making its first trip to Tucson for a conference game on Sunday, Feb. 1. The teams met in Stillwater last season with the Cowgirls taking the 19-point victory.

The Arizona Wildcats welcome the Kansas State Wildcats to McKale Center to start the following week. K-State comes to Tucson on Wednesday, Feb. 4, then UA heads to Morgantown to play West Virginia on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Arizona will likely stay back East for a few days after the game against the Mountaineers. The Wildcats start the following week at Cincinnati on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

The week ends with the second half of the Duel in the Desert. There may be no love lost between the two, but ASU will spend Valentine’s Day with the Wildcats in McKale Center.

Colorado comes to Tucson for the second half of the home-and-away series on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Arizona then heads to Waco to play Baylor on Saturday, Feb. 21.

The final week of the regular season starts with a game against another new head coach. Veteran coach Matthew Mitchell returns to the college sidelines this year as the leader of Houston. The Cougars play in Tucson on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

The conference season ends just like it begins—facing off against Utah. The Wildcats travel to Salt Lake City on Saturday, Feb. 28.

TV designations and times for conference games will be announced at a later date. Conference games that do not receive TV designations will stream on ESPN+.

Arizona played to a 19-14 overall record and 10-8 league record last season. The Wildcats finished 8th in their first season in the Big 12.
