Padres don't have much to play for. They've secured a postseason slot and can't win the division. If the Dbacks had taken the Dodgers series, they would have been in a decent position for the last wild card. Padres may have interesting rotation choices for the last series of the regular season - and may also rest some starters.

Mets losing to the Marlins in the 5th. Fingers crossed. Reds scoreless with Brewers early.

The Dbacks are what their record says they are. Torey is what his managerial record says he is. If Hazen doesn't make some bold moves in the offseason with both players and manager/coaching staff, then 2026 will likely be a carbon copy of 2025 - a team that hovers around .500 most of the season.

Rodriguez gives up two upper deck home runs in the first three batters as the Padres take a 3-0 lead.

Dbacks going quietly into that good night, with a soft whimper. 2026 will likely be an even bigger horror show for the Dbacks than 2025, unless Hazen gets aggressive (he won't) from the change perspective.

Pfaadt finished the year with an ERA of 5.25.

His performance this year has to be one of the most disappointing things this season.

A close second would be the development of Lawlar. It seems like they gave up on him when he struggled early, then he got sent down and got hurt, then after he started playing well again they brought him up and didn't play his much. Seems like the last two years of his development have been wasted.

Lawlar's 2025 -

1st 31 AB - 0 for 31, .000
Final 36 AB - 12 for 35, .343

Wasted opportunity to see what he could do playing regularly.
