Geno ties it. He could get a haul from NY
I like your enthusiasm for the DBacks tying a game against what will likely be the worst team in MLB history. Gallen should be sent down and SofTorey should be "released to the industry". If you can't sweep a team that is 7-27 at home you have no business even sniffing around the playoffs. Ain't gonna happen. DBacks are done for this year. The only question is what will Hazen do before and at the deadline - and after this season comes to a merciful end. We have to do better next year.

Outside of Torey letting Gallen have a bit too much leash, Torey has been excellent tonight. It's June and there are multiple players on both sides of the ball that were not on the roster after spring concluded.

I still think a managerial change will be in order after the season, or at the very least, when his contract expires. No extensions for a sub .500 manager. He will not make it back to .500 as a MLB manager.

Stinkel after his outing on Friday: I really wanted to get my ERA under 12.50. Torey told me that I needed to keep my ERA under 15 to keep my slot in the bullpen. Boy, did I breathe a sigh of relief when I got through the 9th tonight against that Murderers' Row lineup of a very excellent and playoff contending Rockies team.

And Kelly gives up a 1st inning home run...haha Maybe he's trying to deflate his trade value to stay in AZ.

Unreal that the single-A rockies are able to hang with the DBacks at all. It would be beyond embarrassing if the DBacks lose any game in this series.

The Rockies have still won like 25% of their games. Talent doesn't always win in baseball.

It's why it's the hardest sport

Not how that works. Teams with winning records that lost to the Rockies this year: DBacks, Dodgers, Padres, Giants, Yankees and Brewers. A sweep is certainly not a given.

True...you just don't expect a single-A team to win many games at the MLB level. And the Rockies are still on a historic loss pace. That's why I don't want to make excuses for the DBacks losing to these guys. Already lost to them once at home. That's enough for a season where the Rockies are at the very bottom of MLB.

22% to be exact...just over 2 out of 10 games...so for this season, they are 2-8 for the "Last 10" for the entire season. That's why DBacks need to sweep - even though baseball "is the hardest sport".

Do you not think it's the hardest sport?

The Rockies have wins against:

The 43-34 Rays
The 32-46 Athletics
The 42-35 Brewers
The 31-45 Nationals
The 35-40 Braves
The 41-35 Padres
The 24-22 Dbacks
The 40-29 Giants

I see people calling them a Triple A team but they have quality wins

But you said the DBacks should not lose a single game in this series. I provided a different perspective.

Let's hope I'm right. DBacks are -210 favorite for today's game. We need Pfaadt to show up and pitch well. The Rockies may have won a few games against teams with winning records (even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while) but that doesn't change the fact that they are a woeful blend of bad managing, bad coaching, bad front office, and a bad roster.
