Now, let's see that kid put a month together pitching like that. He just needs to learn consistency and how to pitch. That was a great inning! Some of the best we've seen from him, mixing pitches...inside/outside...then setting them up for the heat instead of relying on it.

Not sure what the plan is for the catching position but I’m not sure how good I feel about Del Castillo from a defensive perspective if we need him long term. The bat is exciting so maybe have Herrera start most games and have him in case of emergency. Hopefully this is a 7-day deal and not any longer.

The biggest difference I see is that Del Los Santos throws out 25% of runners and Moreno throws out 36%. Del Los Santos also played a lot of DH and was an OF in collegeand moved to C his junior year. It'll be interesting to see how he adjusts to the MLB and if he'sstill growing into the position. .
