I don't have a problem with Perdomo at the bottom. If Marte and Carroll are on heaters, Perdy can set the table for them.

The question is do you believe Lourdes provides adequate protection for said hot hitters batting third.

if you want him setting the table, why not hit him first? Perdomo has a .906 OPS against lefties with an excellent .379 OBP vs lefties.

Sale is allowing an .831 OPS against lefties this year vs a .692 against righties. They should have played Thomas and maybe even Pavin at 1st.

Gurriel has a .222 BA against Sale in a whopping 22 ABs

Suarez has no hits in 9 ABs against him and a .182 OPS. Super wild because he really hits lefties well.

Naylor also no hits but in only 4 ABs

Marte, Carroll, Perdomo, Grichuk, and Moreno have all faired well against Sale in the past.
