The Arizona Cardinals will once again participate in a joint practice in the preseason. With only three preseason contests, the trend around the NFL has been to have at least one competitive practice with another team leading up to a preseason game.

This year, the Cardinals will practice with the Denver Broncos, the Broncos announced on their team site.

The Cardinals will face the Broncos on the road for their second preseason game, their only preseason tilt on the road, on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 9:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. Arizona time). They will practice with the Broncos on Thursday, Aug. 14.

Last season, the Cardinals practiced will the Indianapolis Colts and, in 2023, with the Minnesota Vikings.

They will have a single practice with the Broncos, rather than two, which is what they have done previously.

The Cardinals only have done joint practices outside of Arizona. There is a reason for that.

There is not enough room in State Farm Stadium to accommodate two full practices with teams with 90-man offseason rosters, which would require practicing outside. In August in the Phoenix area, nobody wants to practice a couple of hours in the summer heat.
