The Arizona Cardinals have not done much this offseason to address the wide receiver room. They did not draft one. They re-signed Zay Jones and Greg Dortch. They added Simi Fehoko in free agency and signed rookie free agent Bryson Green.

Many would say that it is position that certainly could be upgraded.

Now there is a veteran receiver available who is not in his 30s.

There has been chatter online about the Cardinals going after guys like Keenan Allen or Amari Cooper, but both are in their 30s.

Here is a different possibility.

The Jacksonville Jaguarshave released receiver Gabe Davis. Davis is only 26 years old and was entering the second year of a three-year, $39 million deal. He had a disappointing 2024, playing in only 10 games and catching 20 passes for 239 yards and two scores.

He spent the first four years of his career with the Buffalo Bills, where he earned the name "Big Game Gabe," as he had a 200-yard, four-touchdown game in the playoffs in 2021 and a 100-yard game in the postseason in 2022.

He is a big, physical receiver at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds.

Is he an upgrade over guys like Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, Zay Jones and Xavier Weaver? Perhaps.

He probably would sign a minimum deal, as he had $1.5 million in fully guaranteed salary. The Jags paid him a $10 million option bonus back in March.

Should we expect the Cardinals to make a move? Nothing about this offseason suggests that it will happen.
