The state of Wisconsin has never placed a 12-year-old team in the Little League World Series. What if it sends the big-leaguers instead?

As Andrew Wagner of Forbes first reported, there's an intriguing hiccup in the 2026 Milwaukee Brewers season-ticket packages that suggests the Brewers will be participating in the Little League Classic game next season, an annual event that features a big-league game in front of Little Leaguers and their families during the Little League World Series.

The game, at Bowman Field (capacity of less than 2,500) in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, is typically the first Sunday of the Little League World Series, which runs Aug. 19-30 next season. The big-leaguers spend time watching the Little League games, and the Little Leaguers and families are invited to watch the big guys play on "Sunday Night Baseball."

Wagner cited information that next year's Brewers full season-ticket packages were charging customers for 80 games, with a special announcement coming soon about the Aug. 24 date — one that lines up with the Little League night.

The event began in 2017 and has featured different teams each season, including the New York Mets and Seattle Mariners in 2025. The Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Guardians, Los Angeles Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers have all taken part, as well, with three teams appearing twice.

The Brewers have never appeared in any special neutral-site game produced by MLB, such as the Field of Dreams Game in Iowa or this season's contest between the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Brewers haven't even appeared in the showcased "Sunday Night Baseball" slot since 2022, a 1-0 win over the Phillies remembered for a confrontation between Kyle Schwarber and home-plate umpire Ángel Hernandez.

A message left for Major League Baseball early Sept. 15 wasn't immediately returned.
