Were they just really prepared for the Cards?

I think it’s a mix of both but also that the Chickens came out amped to get a win.

Also the loss doesn’t feel like it is a barometer of things to come but more of a bad day.

Still not happy that the team come of the bye looking lost on offense.

I think you're right that this was a hags team, at home, playing for its life, that came out flying around the field like their hair was on fire.

I don't think we should overreact too much to this loss.

Seattle played like it was a playoff game, and we played like a team returning to work on a Monday after a vacation. They thought they were ready but quickly found out mentally they were still on a beach somewhere

I predicted a Seattle win in my pool because everyone was getting on Cardimals bandwagon expecting the Cardinals to blow out Seattle. Blow outs for division games is rare.

This week, I’m predicting a Cardinal win but it’ll be close. Maybe 30-27.
You guys seem to have a bad week then come back and dominate the next week.

I think Kyler sucks in bad weather because he can't grip the ball and the oline was disrupted by bringing in a returning starter on 2 days of practice. Also the Seahawks stadium is one of the hardest places to play without crap weather.

That stadium is loud. The only game I remember being louder was the NFC championship game in AZ. The ball fell off the tee for the opening kickoff cuz we had that building rocking. And of course the dome was closed because Kurt liked it that way

Edit:
Not sure what it looked like on TV, but the rain wasn't bad at all for the first 3 quarters. And even in the fourth when it was raining a bit more we never put our rain ponchos on. I wasn't even wet after the game. And we were as close to the field as we could get only 10 rows up

Kyler struggles when conditions aren’t ideal. It’s what makes him a front runner. That said, lots of dudes in the NFL do. Kyler looked small in Seattle.

I think their DL whipped our OL and it caused a ton of problems. It stopped our run game. It allowed them to to handled us in their base defense when we had 2 or 3 TE's on the field which most teams can't, they have to give up one or the other.

the picksix was terrible and the overthrow of McBride in endzone, to me was a size thing he had to get the ball over a hand. But even with all that, he had a TD pass called back on a hold(good call) and he had a TD pass to Marv that was broken up by a terrific defensive play that prevented Marv from getting his second foot down. So even on a not very good day we were in position to win but just didn't make the plays to win it.

Even under duress, Murray made a bunch of nice throws this past Sunday, and it's not fair to say he stunk up the field.

Such little rushing production though. This was a super close game where a few big K1 runs might have tilted the outcome in our favor, but the QB run game did not appear to be a significant part of the game plan.

Interesting thought on gripping the ball

Very good summary. I watched the Seattle/Niners game a couple of times and sensed we would struggle against their D Line. Even Paris struggled. I think Macdonald has that defense prepared to be a force the rest of the year. That being said, so many things went against us & we still could have won that game. A couple of things…..
- We lost the field position battle all day. Their punter pinned us inside the 10 twice in the 1st half. We had one short field all day (50 yd line & we kicked a FG on that drive). Otherwise, our drives all started in our territory: 33, 9, 20, 6, 20, 18, 38, 20, 20. Against that D last Sunday, we needed shorter fields. The almost pick by Kyzer White at their 20 would have been huge!
- Our OL got manhandled most of the day. That’s NOT going to happen often.
- The Murray pick 6 was bad. Kudos to Macdonald for calling a timeout & knowing exactly what we were going to do. He outsmarted Petzing all day.
- SEA scored their only TD because of a perfectly executed screen that put the ball on the 3. I honestly don’t think they would have scored a TD all day minus that one play.
-Almost every holding call against us were back breakers. Cost us a TD & some big gainers.
- Leonard Williams DOMINATED us. Let’s hope that Robinson will add that kind effect for us in the very near future.

The Seahawks are 16-16 at home and 15-15 on the road since the start of the 2021 season.
