Anyone see the Cardinals on SportsCenter?

When was the last time the Cardinals made the 2nd story on SportsCenter THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP. I know I know it's because of Emmitt but still it is NICE!

If we need to sign a washed up RB instead of playing the guy that should be playing in order to get a clip on Sportscenter then sorry but I'll pass!

Personally, I don't care about SportsCenter either. However, I don't think E.Smith is all washed up, nor do I think he's here for just his running ability. Shipp will still see plenty of action and Smith will help what is a very young team. (ie--work ethic, attitude, leadership, etc) Signing him will prove to be a good move.

Have to agree with Shane on this one. RB was not where we needed to spend our money. WR and DL will be the downfall of this team this year.

I hope Im eating crow and Emmitt goes out and rushes for 1500 yards but I just dont see it happening.

While he may be arguably one of the best RBs in NFL history. At this point in his career he isnt even the best RB on the roster IMO!

Plain and simply I dont care about Sportscenter playtime its all about winning and our best chance for that is Shipp once again IMO!

Umm ... Shane. Did you read my post? I like Marcel. You had posted that seeing #22 wasn't as good as seeing #31. I assumed that you were talking about the coverage. Don't bitch the next time that someone throws in an insult because they don't like a simple observation that you make.

That is your original post right? You stated that while you like Shipp we would not have made Sportscenter had Shippbeen the one running the ball and we had not signed Emmitt right?

The Arizona Sports Report on Fox Sports Network showed clips of both Emmitt and Shipp from the mini camp. Both looked very good.

Note - Never got to watch Sportscenter. I was too occupied toggling between the "other Cards" beating up on Mon'real and the Devils finally prevailing in triple overhead to move up another notch in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. (Go Devils! But please play better next time - as much as I hate to say it, we lucked out - the Devs were outplayed most of the way).

As for your question being valid, I don't think it is. I think that you are questioning whether I am happier that the Cards are on SportsCenter as opposed to what's best for the team. Remember that sometimes when you type something it doesn't come across the way you meant it because you aren't communicating verbally. I meant it quite to the point, not that I'm happy that Emmitts on the team. I wasn't real thrilled about us signing him and I wasn't real thrilled with the draft but I'm not going to wallow in misery, I'm going to enjoy the best part of a Cardinals fan's season, the offseason.
