Antwone Savage

I watch a lot of the Big-12 and Antwone Savage is a stud and a threat. When the Sooners where on the field, you had to know where Savage was if you where in the secondary. GREAT PICKUP! I wanted the guy drafted but he could be a Cardinal now anyways.

I'm happy for this Sooner and I'm a Longhorn... Yes, I really like this signing!

I love this pickup. He can fill many needs. If we dont use him much at wr he will be a ST ace. Atleast i hope so. he was a big play wr at OK. Now its time to see what hes got in the NFL.

If we sign one more veteran like marcus robinson..it will be tough for savage to make the roster. He would have to beat out two of the following receivers:

two drafted receivers (round 1 and 2), mcaddley, gilmore, robinson, foster, kasper. He could get a look at beating out kasper and going on the practice squad..but it would probably take an injury or two for savage to make the roster...

Which is good because competition increases the quality of the depth. The more decent-to-good players that can't make the team, the better.
