Bo blew me away with his accapella song. His first one (Elton John) was really good, too. "Satisfaction" sucked, though. I think he blew it on some of the lyrics, even.

Carrie had a very solid night. I thought all three songs were solid preformances.

Vonzell goes home, I'm afraid. She's got spunk, but she didn't do herself any favors with "Never Love This Way Again" and "On the Radio." I thought they were both pretty bad.

Bo might be the first Idol winner that I'd consider buying an album from. Win or lose (wink wink--I think even the judges conceded last night that Bo is a shoe-in), I think Carrie will make some successful country albums. But Bo is going to be the biggest success that AI has seen, yet, IMO.

Actually, Kelly's latest album, or at least one of her songs, is really good...I would buy that album.

And yeah, I'd buy Bo's...

I'll probably buy Carrie's too, cause I'm a sucker for country chicks :)

me thinks vonzell is done ... if for anything that first song just wasn't up to par with the night

bo, by far has shown the most in this competition ... earlier it almost seemed like he'd use the band to mask his voice a little ... last night, that obviously was thrown out the window

i think both bo & carrie will sell a lot of records

I felt sorry for anyone that had to followup Bo's performance.
But carrie hung in there.

Regardless if its vonzell or carrie...ya know yer in trouble when Clive predicts that he and Bo are going to have a great time making an album together.

Yeah. I noticed a couple of times that the judges made reference to Carrie and Vo battling for second place. At least, that's how I took it.

Bo's acapella was awesome.

Clive couldn't hide his excitement.

Carrie was fantastic too. Vo was just outclassed.

Bo is alot better than I originally had given him credit for. His first 2 songs were real good. But to sing Satisfaction, that's just a set-up for failure. He did okay, but not better than that.

I am eager to see them 2 to duel it out next week.

I wonder if they will have to sing 4 songs now or just 3?

Should be a good finale - the one that AI wanted Bo vs Carrie.

Bo is clearly the more talented of the two.

Bo sucks. He was teh "token Rocker" for this season. In the grand scheme of things, he will go nowhere. He has no marketability at all. His just a stoner, wannabe Creed singer. Carrie on the other hand is a marketable country singer who could make them millions.

Just back away from what ever it is you're on, man. It's not worth it.

In all fairness, while Bo does not suck, AZSouth has a point with the marketablity thing... Eventhough I think Bo is much more entertaining to me and has a great raw voice, he is not American Idol type material. His marketablity exists but not in the way that they are looking to promote a teenie bopper long time girlie pop singer...

And I have no clue why wanting to be like Creed, either vocally, performance wise or even as it relates to money making potential would be a bad thing...

A good example is the three of them singing... That is what they are looking for, this goodie, goodie young and pure (we own your butt forever) look, and certainly you saw that Bo did look a bit out of place in that song...

Who would buy a Bo Bice record? I for one would not, and I'm not sure many fans of rock music would either. Rock music has always had a certain image of a group of guys that work their way up in the clubs and fight to get a sniff. American Idol is pop music at its worst. Who would Bice tour with? I can't imagine very many rock bands wanting to associate with a guy who has been on American Idol. Maybe he could hook up for a big tour with Diana Degarmo...LOL. Real rock band like Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Pennywise, and System of a Down would probably pay money to kick Bice's ass. My point is, he has no market. He won't be played on pop stations, and rock stations won't touch the guy. If he wins, he will be done as soon as the obligatory AI tour is over. Carrie on the other hand has a future in country. She fits the industry like a glove. If she comes in 2nd, this will be the third season in a row that a karaoke bust has won, which probably means FOX should put a dagger in this thing.

I would. In fact, I just said as much to my wife the other day.

There are plenty of people (probably 30-45 yr olds) who fit into the same catagory.

...and, I don't care for Creed, Tool, Nine Inch Nails or Pennywise.

I actually do like these bands but the "Real rock" groups do not consider these to be rock either... I have never heard on of those four played on our rock station, they are all on the alternative station... using your analogy I would bet there are a bunch of REAL rockers that would pay to kick Tool's ass as well.... Again, I like them but I really never considered them rock...

I think he will do fine... I am not all that hot on country but even I can see that Carrie will do fine in that market... I think your looking at bo's music through some generationally challenged eyes... (or ears rather)...
