I put off watching this film for a long time because I thought it'd be boring. Boy was I wrong. This was actually pretty exciting! Watching Hoffman and Redford go at it for 2.5 hours was fantastic.

It's not in the IMDb top 250 anymore, but it probably should be.

Definitely should be near the top. That list is funky though, just compiled of user ratings. The Dark Knight #3 movie all time? Come on.

Saw it for the first time at the Bruin. When Robards touched the desk and slapped his hands together I said (to no one in particular, it just popped out), “That man just won the Oscar.”

One of my favorite movies. I never get tired of watching it.

Free trivia: Phil Everly named his son Jason after seeing Robards in a play.

Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Robards.... and a well deserved one.
