Westbrook currently giving an interview and all you can hear are his answers.

Bizarre

Yeah, I don't think I've heard a question yet no matter who is being interviewed.

And sometimes without the question there is no way to understand what they’re talking about.

Try turning on closed captioning. That might get the interviewer's questions to show up.

I don't think I'd have him as the favorite. He just hasn't been the same from distance since he took that hard fall 2 months ago and now that they've added 2 shooting spots from 6 feet beyond the arc, I'd give the edge to someone like Young or maybe Hield.

I like this move, I don't think it's much of a surprise but I'm glad it was done now. The NBA has officially renamed the All-Star Game MVP trophy the Kobe Bryant MVP Award. Classy move. Kobe won the All-Star MVP 4 times in his career, in 2002, 2007, 2009 and 2011. He was also an 18 time All-Star so this is fitting.

Here's a tweet also...

It's good to hear it though especially coming from Steve Nash.

Barkley said Booker was his pick for the 3pt contest also. He seemed to be rooting for him more than picking him, like Nash did, but still good that Booker's getting some credit.

There have been players whose 2nd halves of the season have been screwed up
by participating in the 3-point contest.

I would have been just as happy if Devin gave all of his attention this weekend
to the All Star game.

I wonder if the league made it conditional, because the player he's replacing
was to be in both. If so, it's all or nothing? We'll never know.

Hmm. That feels a bit like the kiss of death to me. I'm sure Barkley has been right about some prediction in the past but off the top of my head I can't think of one. But, whatever, I'm sure we'll all be cheering Devin on.

What players have had their seasons ruined by taking part in the 3pt contest? I've never heard that before.

Booker is a former 3pt contest champion, just 2 years ago. He knows what he signed up for and what it takes to win it. I highly doubt there were strings attached to him being Lillard's injury replacement. There are plenty of players that could have filled in for Lillard at the 3pt contest.

I don't believe there were strings attached either but because of the last minute nature of Lillard's injury, I'd guess they offered him both at the same time really hoping he'd be flattered enough by one to agree with the other.

I think Book being put in at the last minute illuminates any concerns. He won’t have time to shoot a million practice 3s for days and throw his game shot off.
