I haven't really followed this Offensive style much.......what impact does it have on our running game and is a stud TE a necessity?

Go to you tube & voice Google ,James Whalen highlights at Kentucky & you will see how much the TE is used in the "Air Raid". SEC defenses knew it was going to the TE James Whalen & still couldn't stop it. Hal Mumme started it all at Iowa Wesleyan in 1991, Mike Leach was his assistant. They brought the offense to a power 5 conference in 1997 at Kentucky. Bob Stoops saw enough of the "Air Raid" at Florida while being the DC for Steve Spurrier, he brought Mike Leach with him to Oklahoma for the OC position. Leach left after one season because his "Air Raid" offense was so powerful, Texas Tech offered him the HC job. a coach you may have heard of, KK was a star QB at Texas Tech playing for Mike Leach lol.
