I shouldn't have to explain it to you, this is basic knowledge.

It's not exactly like that. You seem to not have any idea of what a creative industry is.

You want to see a live action movie populated entirely by AI? What a warped mindset. That is money going straight to the studio bureaucracy -- with zero nuance. Creativity shouldn't be pre-empted with a robot. AI actors are INTENDED to replace people like Gosling, Streep and De Niro. Not Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse. Do you think a screenplay should be written by AI? I know at least a few screenwriters that would be against it...
Gosling, Streep, and dining should be replaced. They're not artists, just drones.
As a movie goes i just want to be entertained. Rather it's live people, robots, or AI powered CGI makes no difference.

So tell me...we're you this outraged when computers destroyed other industries? When they cost thousands of others their jobs?
Or was it just progress?

This is just progress. Nothing more. It isn't there yet, but one day soon AI will produce better stories. Better characters. A better final product.

This is where your argument falls apart. I really dislike people that think they know better than those of us actually working day-in and day-out in this industry. Actors are't artists? What? I'm done talking to you about this, it's disrespectful and disingenuous.

Right? Comparing tech jobs to actors who are having their imagines and voices illegally stolen is apples to oranges.

Who is stealing images and voices?
An AI can't have a unique face?

The people creating the AI are stealing image, voice, likeness, etc. from living breathing actors and actresses without compensation.

*sigh* We've been through this before. The AI models are all built by stealing real images and voices. No, AI can't have a unique face, because it would have nothing to model it on. You have some stubborn view that, what, AI is like animation or something? It isn't.

Do me a favor. Educate yourself, ffs. Look up AI scraping.

Okay I get it.
If they are stealing other people's faces for AI that's wrong. I think we already have NIL laws in place for that.
But an AI can certainly have a unique face. They just have to build it. It's certainly not that different than building Caesar from Planet of the apes

First I think you get it, but then you don't get it at all :bang: The build COMES FROM FREAKING SCRAPING ACTORS.THAT IS WHAT SCRAPING IS LITERALLY DESIGNED TO DO. HOW DO YOU THINK THEY BUILD THE GORRAM FACE WITHOUT THE SCRAPED AND STOLEN INFORMATION???

This is NOT a difficult concept. Just stick with the bolded and leave it at that.
