Is anyone upset with William H Macy in all this? Seems he's gotten a free pass so far.

Jail for multiple counts related to mail fraud - including a felony.

There are others who got a lot more for ruffly the same or less in related cases

She was a smaller player in this though by all accounts

Not an attorney, but considering the nature of the crime, predetermined punishment (read she was facing only 0-6 months), small $$$ amount and first-time offender, she wasn't going to have the book thrown at her despite what others had hoped.

On the flipside, her reputation is toast.

This case is yet another example being used now of white privilege. Seeing all sorts of memes where a black guy gets 30 years for robbing a bakery of 50 dollars, without a weapon, things like that. Not saying she should get 30 years but it's a classic example IMO of the uber wealthy not facing the same sort of criminal justice system

You’re correct, but the issue isn’t her lesser sentence as much as it is the extreme sentences for the others.

The goal, IMO, isn’t to punish more for equality, it’s to punish less.

No, he didn't read the article. What Biden has proposed has ZERO to do with this case.

Tongue-in-cheekily referencing an article on MSN is "So MAGA" ?? LMAO

I did read the article - I am not going to post something without reading it - and know what Joe "appeared to be" referencing (nonviolent drug offenses) but the actual headline/sound bite (fake news?) was too timely to pass up.

Literally read one article after the other and thought it was kinda funny.

Some of y'all take every post far too seriously. :D

I often laugh at your posts, but not because you’re trying to be funny.
