Better off silent
This weekend I was fortunate to see the 5 animated short nominees and 4 of the live action short nominees. The live action noms were nothing to write home about--in fact, the one I pick will probably be the short I DIDN'T see--Johnny Flynton.
The animated shorts were much better. The best by far is called Das Rad--a German short. The Cathedral looked amazing, but the story was terrible. Mt. Head is a Japanese short, and the worst of the bunch--made no sense and was just not that fun to watch. The Chubbchubbs was good, but standard kiddie fare--as was Mike's New Car, which isn't even that funny.
