Before further words are typed or uttered, it's imperative that you, the reader, understand something about the author. You'd experience extreme difficulty in trying to find a bigger A.J. Brown fan. Maybe you'll find a Philadelphia Eagles fan who loves Brown just as much, but you won't find anyone with a more profound affinity for Number 11. Still, even with that said, A.J. Brown is not above reproach.
It seems doubtful that anyone on the roster cares more about winning. Perhaps some guys share his hunger, but no one seems more obsessed with success and competing at a high level, but A.J. Brown has to stop doing this to himself.
At some point, he has to understand that just about every word he utters will be used against him. Pleading the fifth isn't always an option, but it has become tiring to see his words twisted or overanalyzed.
And, wouldn't you know it? Something tells us this will be another long couple of days because the Eagles' captain may have given the Philadelphia media even more ammunition to use against him.
"I don't recall a meeting." Those were A.J. Brown's words after a disappointing loss by the Eagles versus the New York Giants.
Truth be told, no one knows what A.J. Brown meant or what he is thinking or feeling. Only he can answer that, but if we were to step out on a limb and gamble, here's what we believe that he meant.
"I don't want to talk about this right now." Or, maybe he meant, "That was a private conversation, and we choose to keep that between us." Let's be honest, though. None of us believes that's how this will be spun now, do we?
Think about what you know about the Philly media. Think about the sports stations and the six million podcasts. He'll be called selfish, a bad teammate, or both.
There's no way this can be spun positively, and that's what's unfortunate. It's impossible to find teammates who don't love A.J. Brown, but he's rarely given the benefit of the doubt. Something tells us he won't receive it after this either.

A.J. Brown said he doesn’t “recall a meeting” between him, Jalen Hurts, and Saquon Barkley when asked about the three of them having a conversation earlier this week. #Eagles
