In less than a month, the Pittsburgh Steelers will kick off organized team activities (OTAs), and just like that, we are back to football. The Steelers' offseason has been fairly quiet from a talent acquisition standpoint, aside from the big trade to land wide receiver DK Metcalf.
There is still plenty of work to do this offseason and here are the five moves they should make now.
Chubb is working hard to make a comeback and if he's healthy, would be the most talented running back on the roster. Pittsburgh is committed to running the football in 2025 and Chubb, along with Jaylen Warren and Kaleb Johnson, would make a formidable trio.
There are some players who simply cannot play for other NFL teams and linebacker T.J. Watt is one of them. It's going to cost a lot of money but this is one of those non-negotiables for the Steelers.
As much as we like Mason Rudolph, the Steelers need to secure another experienced veteran. We don't want to see rookie Will Howard thrown to the wolves as a rookie and Skylar Thompson isn't the guy.
As optimistic as we are for Broderick Jones at left tackle and Troy Fautanu on the right, the depth behind them needs some work. We want to see the Steelers bring in a mid-tier vet with some starting experience as insurance in case either player struggles or the inevitable injury strikes.
