Four-star dual-threat quarterback recruit Landon Duckworth is predicted to commit to the South Carolina Gamecocks, per On3. Duckworth, who is a member of the class of 2026, plays high school football for Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound quarterback is the No. 6 quarterback in the country and the No. 51 recruit. Duckworth is ranked as the No. 5 recruit in Alabama, per 247Sports.
Duckworth is a three-sport athlete at Jackson High School. He plays football, runs track and field and plays basketball. The four-star quarterback would be an excellent addition for South Carolina's recruiting class, which ranks No. 13 in the SEC right now.
The elite quarterback prospect has won a pair of state championships in basketball and one state title in football (2024). He finished the 2024 season with 3,439 passing yards, 39 touchdowns and 10 interceptions through the air. He also ran for 648 yards and 12 touchdowns in 15 games.
Duckworth is a prized quarterback recruit. He was considering the Georgia Bulldogs before they landed a commitment from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis. Duckworth's top contenders are South Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss and Florida State.
